eBooks About Photography, Hobbies, And Much More!

picalttag

'Langford's Starting Photography' by Philip Andrews. For a first in photography, you really could not ask for more. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to start photography or develop their knowledge. This eBook guides you through photography jargon and explains digital, APS and SLR cameras with ease. Including projects for practical starting points easy enough for a total beginner with only a disposable camera or professionals with the latest stuff.

'SHUTTERBABE' by Deborah Kogan. The first paragraph is dynamite and made me buy the book. And it's all the more remarkable because this paragraph ends on a topic that usually makes me drop a book for good. Through most chapters after that, the narrator is a bigger than life adventuress, whose tribulations sound just slightly embellished by Jewish humor and yarn spinning. This eBook is about photography in the sense that a young woman from a suburb of Washington, DC goes off to Paris to pursue a career in photojournalism. Kogan wants excitement and finds herself making photos of wars and meeting a variety of men. In time she finds what is important to her and that is the most worthwhile part of her story. The references to Leica and Nikon equipment are enjoyable and right on the mark for those who enjoy photography. Use the Coupon Code below to receive a Discount on either of these two eBook Titles.

Shake Rattle And Roll

picalttag

'Apple Pro Training Series: Shake 4' by Marco Paolini. This eBook is really good for someone who wants to start of with shake, gives you nice intro and then takes you all the way up, this book is not only full of tutorials but it also talks about the technical side, the humor makes me feel as if I am talking to the author. Its a good buy at the price and also there is no other material available on shake. One of the best books in this field.Very comprehensive tutorials that make you understand shake in a minimum of time.

'Cartridges Of South Coventry' by Frank Krasnickas. This book is probably not going to be of much interest to anyone but the fairly advanced cartridge collector. However for those, it presents some good historical information on a limited group of 19th century cartridge manufacturers (Crittenden & Tibbals, Phoenix, and American) that were located in the South Coventry CT area. In fact it's the only book I am aware of that does. Good information for those who have a serious interest in old cartridges. And if you are one of the few who do have an interest in Cartridges use the Coupon Code Below to receive a Discount on either of these two eBook Titles at Checkout.

Everyone Has To Start Somewhere!

picalttag

'Clapton's Guitar:' by Allen St. John. Guitarist or not, this is a fabulous read incorporating a wide spectrum of topics ranging from wood growth to Ice Age theory, Stradivari to Martin, bluegrass history to music icons and must try recordings. It's all bound together by a tale of one man's quest for a holy grail of guitars and, of course, the title theme of how Allen St John's quest catalyzed the end of Eric Clapton's 10 year wait for his Wayne Henderson no. 326.

'Langford's Starting Photography' by Philip Andrews. For a first in photography, you really couldn't ask for more. Michael Langford guides you round the jargon with ease and will soon have you talking like a professional! It is a comprehensible guide, which does not cost a fortune! A definite thumbs up! I would recommend this to anyone wishing to start photography or develop his or her knowledge. Use the Coupon Code below to receive a Discount on either of these great eBook Titles.

Clapton's Guitar: Watching Wayne Henderson Build the Perfect Instrument eBook edition by St. John, Allen
"In 1994, Eric Clapton came across a Wayne Henderson guitar in a recording studio and decided on the spot that he had to have one. Rarer than Stradivarius violins, these musical works of art are built from near-extinct Brazilian Rosewood, Appalachian spruce, black ebony, and fine mother-of-pearl.

Color And Crafts Come Together For Me This Week

picalttag

'Color Confidence' by Tim Grey. Most photographers agree entering the digital world can be very challenging. There is a vast amount of information to filter through. Tim Grey is an expert in that area and is up there with all the top people in the digital world. This is exactly what I was looking for; it gives a quick in-and-out overview of color management, with detailed information about calibration and profiles. Other books on this topic are twice the size, which I don't think is necessary for most people. I am a "confident amateur" photographer and found this book to be chock-full of information, and I have already started to use what I'm learning from it with excellent results.

'Crafters Companion' by a Community of Creative Minds. I did have a nice time reading this eBook as well as watching and trying the projects. It really is fun to read about the people that creates the things you're going to do. The projects are so fun also and not so difficult to follow. You will not be disappointed. The only trouble you will have is which project to try first. There is a Coupon Code at the bottom of this Blog for you to receive a Discount on either of these two eBook Titles.

COLOR CONFIDENCE (Adobe Reader) eBook edition by Grey, Tim
Establishing a successful color management workflow that produces predictable results is an important -- yet tricky -- undertaking. Most photographers are all too familiar with the frustration of a print not matching the image on the monitor. In Color Confidence, digital imaging expert Tim Grey provides the crucial information you need to get the color you want, every time.

Something Old, Borrowed, And Blue

picalttag

'The Antique Story Book' by Arthur Schwerdt. I can't imagine anyone not breezing through this easy-to-read eBook. And it's loaded with interesting little facts that will never leave you. Did you know that "credenza" is Italian for "trust?" It was where food and wine were placed during the Renaissance so servants could taste first, lest their masters be poisoned. Now there's trust for you! Whether you are an antique lover, a history lover, or you just like to read good books, The Antique Story eBook is worth your time.
'Crafters Companion' by Anna Torborg. I did have a nice time reading this eBook as well as watching and trying the projects. It really is fun to read about the people that create the things you're going to do. The projects are so fun also and not so difficult to follow. If you are among the new generation of craft addicts that want to read about others successfully crafting and blogging their little hearts out, this is a fun read. We're off to see the wizard... Movies & Music Oh My..

picalttag

Can't Buy Me Love looks back on the Beatles from way back at the very beginning of their roots. I have read almost every book about the Beatles and most of the books go right past the most essential part we remember, the music. Gould does not rely on the memories of those who were there 50 years ago. Instead, he looks to the original sources, the music writers and fans of that time, in the words they wrote then. I recommend this eBook to everyone.

I read Billion Dollar Kiss at random more by accident really, and was pleased to find a smart mix of behind-the-scenes TV-writing insights along with big picture trends shaping the careers, compensation, and success of TV writers from the mid-80's on. I found this eBook an excellent and revealing read about the TV business from a writer's perspective. It is warmly recommended to all those who are interested in what goes on behind the scenes in Hollywood. Be sure to check below to receive your Discount Coupon for these to eBooks.

CANT BUY ME LOVE eBook edition by Gould, Jonathan
"Gould, a former musician, has written an engrossing book, both fluid and economical (aside from one overlong section on the concept of charisma). Page after page, you can hear the music; Gould's deft hand makes the book sing. This is music writing at its best."

Billion-Dollar Kiss eBook edition by Stepakoff, Jeffrey
When Jeffrey Stepakoff was graduating with an MFA in playwriting, he imagined a life in the New York theater, wearing a beret and smoking clove cigarettes. Writing for the "boob tube" didn't even cross his mind. But he ended up in L.A. in the late 80's, when television writers were experiencing their equivalent of a gold rush. After the billion- dollar syndication of Seinfeld, when studios were paying astronomical amounts of money to writers to create the next Friends or ER, the sudden mania for scripted entertainment made the TV writer a hot commodity. He found himself meeting with big agents, inside primetime story rooms, pitch meetings, and on the set of some of TVs most popular shows, and making more money than he'd ever thought possible.
